Custodian Help Needed this week - Ruben is taking a well deserved vacation starting Monday and we need at least part-time help. If you have time on your hands and are willing to help with set ups and restocking bathrooms, etc. this coming week, contact Sandi by Email or at x103.

Quilters meet on Monday, Aug. 30th at 7:00 pm in the Round Room #4. Please note the group will not meet on Monday, Sept. 6th and Monthly Quilters will not be meeting on Wed., Sept. 8th.

Youth News Beginning Sept. 5th Freestyle (9-12th grades) will meet and Sept. 8th RUSH (6-8th grades) will meet in the Youth Room.

Awaken Our Hearts! Birth Choice Volunteer Training Opportunity. Birth Choice Health Clinics minister to young women/men facing unplanned pregnancies, many of whom are contemplating abortion. Please see announcement and information in the Sept./Oct. issue of the Shepherd’s Voice Newsletter.

GSPC Literary Women will meet Saturday, Sept. 11 at 9:30 am in the Fireside Room. Topic: “Sharing Good Reads.” Looking ahead to October 9, local author, Lillian Hellmann, will speak about her experiences during the Holocaust. Guests welcome. Questions, please call Marge Fleming.

The Chronological Bible class will resume Sun., Sept. 12 at 9:00 am in the Fireside Room with Diane Wood teaching. We will be starting the book of Joshua, outlining the Israelites’ conquest of the Promised Land and also discussing the issue of “holy” war.

LADIES, it’s time to study the Revelation of Jesus Christ! CBS is a Bible study for women of any age, any depth of knowledge, any denomination or someone who is seeking to understand the Bible. Study begins here at GSPC on Sept. 17, 9:00-11:00 am. This is an in-depth Bible study with study questions, small group discussions, a lecture & take-home commentary. There is a pre-school and ele- mentary age program for children. However, all children and babies must be pre-registered. For information, call Sherrill Razor.

Single Moms - we are beginning a Small Group for you on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:00 pm while the kids are in Flipt. We will meet together to build relationships with each other, study together, and pray together. Please contact JoAnn Wall for the details.

Covenant Presbyterian Church is in need of the following school items: pencils, erasers, paper, crayons, markers, notebooks, pencil sharpeners, scissors, glue, and backpacks. Prayer for the Fulani It is now the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, when Fulani throughout West Africa are fasting and saying extra prayers in hopes of getting right with God. Pray for extra strength, wisdom, and love for Fulani believers, as they live out their witness during this challenging time.

Equipment Exchange If you have unused equipment that we pass on to someone in need, please contact Marie Crenshaw at x105 or by E-Mail. We need small wheelchairs and shower chairs, and we will pick up if needed.

Home Communion is the first Sunday of each month. If you cannot attend worship and would like home communion, contact Tom Barnes or contact Marie Crenshaw at x105 or by E-Mail.
